Die Once, Born Again
What makes this particular episode stand out to me is the heavy irony and the family dynamic that plays out. Gordon has to sit back and watch his own mother praise this imposter and lift him up as a grand champion while she has absolutely no clue that her own flesh and blood is the…
I have seen my fair share of strange things on television, but the episode The Rat from Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills takes the cake for pure nineties madness. The whole show was clearly a cheap copy of major superhero franchises, but this particular story goes down a very weird path when a…
The Quitter is one of those episodes from that old nineties show that really stays with you because it changes up the whole vibe of the team. Usually you see these four Beverly Hills kids working together to fight off whatever rubber monster Emperor Gorganus sends down to Earth, but this time around, the evil…
Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills was always a wild ride back in the nineties, but the eighth episode titled Commitments really shows how the writers could cook up something special out of pure cheese. The whole setup is hilarious because you have this giant glowing blob named Nimbar running low on juice, and…
Watching Three Cheats to the Wind, really brought me back to my school days. The whole story focuses on Drew, who is supposed to be the artsy one of the group, struggling to finish her essay on the book Les Miserables. Things get wild when a monster literally eats her schoolwork, which leaves her in…
When I sat down to watch Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills, the episode titled Perceptions turned out to be a surprisingly relatable story about human nature. The plot centers on Swinton who is completely terrified of talking to a beautiful girl named Kathy at his school. Everyone on his team and even their…
The fourth episode, titled “Switch” really shows how crazy these low-budget live-action kid shows could get. In this particular story, the main villain, Emperor Gorganus, sends down an electronic monster named Voldec to mess with the power portals. When the four chosen teenagers from California step into the portal to go fight, something goes completely…
I remember sitting down to watch this particular episode called “The Spy,” and it really made me think about how easily people can be fooled by a beautiful face or a good story. In this episode of Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills, the main villain, Emperor Gorganus, decides to play a psychological game instead…
You know, looking back at these old 1994 shows makes me realize just how fast time really moves, which is exactly what Emperor Gorganus is trying to exploit in this third episode. This episode, titled “How Time Flies,” shows the big bad villain getting frustrated because his plans are taking too long, so he sends…
The second episode, “The Note,” picks up right where the setup left off by dealing with the immediate interpersonal fallout and the pressures placed upon the young team. Rather than diving headfirst into non-stop combat, the story takes a brief moment to explore how these high schoolers balance their ordinary teenage lives with the sudden…
