The Rangers’ mother, Miyuki, was not simply an ordinary civilian parent. She had her own magical abilities and history as a warrior. Her role established that the family’s powers were inherited through generations. Her presence also gave the story a strong emotional foundation. Magiranger therefore treated superheroism as something deeply connected to family heritage.

Fiveman was built around five brothers and sisters. The team members were all part of the same family. That made their relationships fundamentally different from most earlier Sentai teams. They already knew one another extremely well before becoming heroes. Their family connection became a major part of the show’s humor, conflict, and teamwork.
