Die Once, Born Again
The review of the episode The Y Files brings a fun mix of government cover-ups and cheesy action featuring the main villain Emperor Gorganus and the teenage hero Swinton. In this story, two government agents show up in town because they think it is ground zero for alien activity. It really makes me think about…
The story centers on Drew meeting this cynical guy named Rick, who used to be a Galactic Sentinel called Orion. Rick is completely bitter about their blob leader Nimbar, calling him deceitful and manipulative. It honestly reminds me of real life, like when you start a new job and meet an old employee who already…
Man, looking back at these nineties shows makes you realize how crazy television used to be when we were younger. The episode called A Nightmare On Rodeo Drive from that wild show Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills is pure nostalgia. You have this evil emperor named Gorganus sending down a sorcerer monster to…
the episode Mind Games from Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills really shows how far a villain will go when he cannot win a fair fight. In this story, the main bad guy Emperor Gorganus realizes he cannot defeat the teenagers in open battle, so he tries a completely different angle. He brings in…
The whole story kicks off because one of the teenagers named Drew is keeping a very private diary, and the other kids on the team go ahead and read it behind her back. This creates a massive amount of tension and breakdown in their friendship because nobody likes to have their personal business exposed to…

This creature uses a strange device to suck away all the intelligence and brain power from the people living in Beverly Hills….
What makes this particular episode stand out to me is the heavy irony and the family dynamic that plays out. Gordon has to sit back and watch his own mother praise this imposter and lift him up as a grand champion while she has absolutely no clue that her own flesh and blood is the…
I have seen my fair share of strange things on television, but the episode The Rat from Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills takes the cake for pure nineties madness. The whole show was clearly a cheap copy of major superhero franchises, but this particular story goes down a very weird path when a…
Aiko Ito’s Ranru Itsuki remains one of the most frequently remembered Abaranger characters. Her cheerful appearance and natural screen presence made AbareYellow particularly recognizable. She also had a capable and energetic personality. That helped Ito balance cuteness with genuine heroism, making Ranru feel like an important member of the team.
Riria Kojima brought a softer and more refined visual presence to ToQger. Mio is the responsible and comparatively mature member of the team, and Kojima’s performance gave her a calm beauty that contrasted nicely with the show’s deliberately playful atmosphere. Fans who like elegant rather than flashy heroines tend to appreciate Mio particularly strongly. Her…
